*Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
*Collaborate with various department heads to forecast future supply needs.
*Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company objectives.
*Handle any supply issues to ensure continuity of supply.
*Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
*Regularly report on purchasing activities and cost reductions.
Profile
A successful Category Buyer should have:
*A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
*Experience in a procurement and supply chain role, preferably in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
*Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
*Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
*Exceptional analytical and strategic planning abilities.
*A solid understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
