Job Description - Reactive Gas Engineer
Salary DOE: £28K-£45K
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Reactive Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of heating systems within commercial and residential properties. The role involves ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, with timely repairs carried out to enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing and repairing gas systems and appliances within residential and commercial properties. Conducting detailed inspections to identify potential issues or safety concerns.
Repairing or replacing defective components and equipment as necessary.
Testing gas systems for leaks and ensuring full compliance with relevant safety regulations.
Providing technical support and advice to customers on the operation and maintenance of their systems.
Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently, meeting both deadlines and budgetary requirements.
Ensuring adherence to all Health and Safety legislation, including completing Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records as required.
Requirements:
Possession of essential gas qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, and CKR1. A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
Experience in plumbing or carpentry is advantageous.
Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform demanding tasks.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their proper use.
Ability to assemble and weld components as required.
A DBS check and appropriate references must be completed before starting the role.
