Work Based Learning Tutor Health and Science
Salary: £34,631 - £39,996 (Pro-Rated for fixed term)
Contract: Fixed Term until July 2025
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 37 hours per week

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of healthcare and science professionals? The Sheffield College, in collaboration with the NHS and other local employers, is delivering innovative Health and Science apprenticeship standards – and we want you to be part of it!
We have an exciting temporary opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Work-Based Learning Tutor to provide vital sickness cover. In this role, you’ll work closely with an experienced team of NHS and College healthcare professionals, making a real impact by supporting apprentices through their learning journey. Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager for Health and Science, you’ll play a key role in delivering apprenticeship standards that prepare learners for rewarding and impactful careers in health and science.

Key Responsibilities
*You will be working with a caseload of apprentices to support their progression and achievement of their qualifications, carrying out assessments and progress reviews within employer settings.
*You will be involved in implementing continuous improvement strategies and measures to meet the demands of employers in providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience.
*The role may include delivering some classroom or online taught sessions.
Skills & Knowledge

*A strong background in healthcare and a desire to use that knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of Health and Science Apprenticeships.
