Role Overview: As Finance Director, you will have a key role in shaping the company’s financial operations, reporting directly to the group CFO. You will manage day-to-day finance functions while leading strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring timely month-end reporting and full regulatory compliance.
*Develop a thorough understanding of financial reporting structures and general ledger systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
*Drive monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting.
*Identify opportunities for process optimisation and resource allocation, improving departmental efficiency without compromising accuracy.
*Provide expertise on non-routine financial transactions.
*Lead the implementation of procedural enhancements and technological innovations to streamline workflows and elevate performance.
*Conduct training sessions for staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
*Collaborate with the Director on special projects and workflow improvements.
Qualifications/Skills:
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with proven success in finance management roles.
*Prior experience in TV production or the media sector is highly desirable.
*Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
*Proficient in accounting software with a deep understanding of accounting principles and standards.
*Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail, committed to upholding compliance standards.
*Experience in auditing processes is a plus.
