Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
*Lead and manage the core engineering team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
*Develop and execute the engineering roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of all core systems.
*Collaborate with senior IT management, Business stakeholders, and other departments to define technical strategy and drive innovation.
*Oversee the design, development, and deployment of core frameworks and components that support the organization’s technology stack.
*Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
*Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent, building a high-performing and motivated team.
*Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
*Manage technical risks and provide guidance on complex engineering challenges.
*Represent the core engineering team in executive meetings and provide updates on technical initiatives and progress.
Required Skills & Experience:
*Proven leadership skills with experience managing and growing high-performing small -medium sized Microsoft engineering teams for 5 or more years
*You will bring deep technical expertise in software engineering, with a focus on scalable and high-performance systems, having been a C# Developer at some point in past.
*At least one of Python and/or React/Angular
*Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
*Experience in developing and executing technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
*Knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices / component-based architecture, and modern software development tools and practices.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
*Experience managing budgets, resources, and timelines for engineering projects.
