Job Description:
Finance Manager *Annual Salary: Up to £65,000
*Location: West London
*Job Type: Full-time
Reed are acting on behalf of a law firm in West London who are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the management and statutory accounting, financial reporting, and forecasting for their business. This role is crucial in enhancing financial control, data quality, and reporting across the business and centrally managed costs. The successful candidate will lead the finance function by driving improvements and supporting the Partner of the Firm.
Day-to-day of the role: *Support the Partners by providing financial reporting, analysis, and insight, including the development and implementation of a high-quality monthly reporting suite.
*Manage the forecasting and budgeting processes, including scenario modelling.
*Oversee the balance sheet and cash flow reporting and forecasting, ensuring completeness and accuracy through effective controls and reconciliations.
*Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and overseeing the year-end audit.
*Develop and automate financial management reporting to enhance financial control and governance, facilitate decision-making, and provide clear understanding of business performance and key drivers.
*Oversee the day-to-day transactions, credit control, reconciliations etc.
*Ad-hoc duties from the Partners when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience, with a preference for candidates from a law/practice background.
*Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with all levels within the organisation.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
*Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional attention to detail.
*Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, demonstrating a flexible and collaborative personal working style.
*Strong problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
*Ability to deliver continuous process improvements and add value.
