People Advisor
Macildowie are currently recruiting for a People Advisor to join a dynamic and award-winning team at a renowned family-run business, known for delivering exceptional service to its guests. The company offers top-tier food, rejuvenating treatments, and a wide array of wellness and fitness facilities.
With a dedicated team of over 550 employees across 25 departments, the success of the business is driven by its people, making this role a key position within the organisation.
As a People Advisor, you will manage a diverse and busy workload, building strong relationships with Heads of Departments and employees. You will provide proactive, hands-on support and advice on all people-related matters, including retention, conduct, performance, and wellbeing, all in line with best practices.
Your in-depth knowledge of employment law will be crucial as you contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures, as well as take an active role in HR initiatives and projects.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to be part of a supportive and friendly team, while promoting the organization as a great place to work.
What the Role Involves:
*Liaising closely with Heads of Departments to understand business needs and help identify and resolve issues and trends within the teams.
*Managing an HR caseload, ensuring cases are progressed in a timely manner and in line with HR policies and procedures.
*Supporting, and where necessary, leading investigations, grievance, and disciplinary hearings.
*Contributing to innovation and change to stay ahead of developments within HR.
*Overseeing and supporting the seamless onboarding of employees.
*Providing accurate and timely administrative support for all transactional HR processes, including new starter documentation when required.
*Working with and supporting the apprenticeship process across the business.
*Assisting with various aspects of recruitment when necessary.
*Contributing to social media content to attract top candidates and engage audiences with the company’s activities.
*Supporting the planning and administration of staff social events to aid employee relations.
*Creating, preparing, and analyzing HR reports using the HR Information System (HRIS).
*Troubleshooting basic system errors and responding to system-related queries.
The Ideal Candidate:
*You will have a friendly, professional approach and a passion for working with people. You should be able to hit the ground running, bringing fresh ideas and having the proven experience to deliver them.
*Strong analytical skills are required to translate HR data into solution-driven initiatives for positive, long-lasting change when necessary.
*Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential. Attention to detail is critical, ensuring that all communications with employees are timely, accurate, and in line with the company’s collaborative culture.
*You will also have strong technical abilities and experience working with HRIS, knowing how to maximize their potential to produce efficient and effective workflows.
*Ideally, you will be CIPD Level 5 qualified. Experience in the hospitality sector would be advantageous but not essential.
*As part of this role, we are committed to your continuous professional development, with both internal and external training opportunities.
Hours of Work:
Either 32 or 39 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days. Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm).
