Changing Lives Together (CLT) is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Donations Champion to lead the way in fostering donor relationships, managing contributions, and driving our charitable mission forward.
This is more than a role—it’s an opportunity to be a key player in a movement that transforms lives through generosity and community spirit.
The Role
As our Donations Champion, you’ll take charge of everything related to donations, from cultivating partnerships to ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our retail outlets and groceries. Your work will empower CLT to continue its vital mission of improving lives. No two days will be the same in this newly created, fast paced role.
What You’ll Do
* Donor Relationship Management
* Deliver world-class customer service to individuals and businesses offering donations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors, ensuring every interaction is professional and impactful.
* Respond promptly to donation inquiries in person, remotely, and via phone, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.
* Actively seek out new partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and individuals to grow our donation network.
* Coordinate food and product collections from partners, maintaining CLT’s reputation as a trusted and reliable collaborator.
* Donation Processing & Record Keeping
* Process and acknowledge all donations accurately and in a timely manner.
* Classify and prioritize donations, ensuring they align with organizational needs.
* Maintain detailed donor records using a CRM system and prepare regular reports on donation activity.
* Train and support the wider retail team in understanding and meeting donation requirements.
3. Fundraising Coordination
* Collaborate with the Marketing and Development team to support fundraising campaigns and events.
* Help create compelling appeals and donor engagement materials to attract and retain supporters.
* Track the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and recommend improvements to maximize impact.
* Compliance & Accountability
* Ensure all donations comply with legal requirements and internal policies.
* Issue tax receipts and acknowledgment letters to donors.
* Collaboration & Networking
* Work closely with finance, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure donations are utilized effectively.
* Act as an ambassador for CLT, representing the organization’s social value and impact in the community.
* Identify challenges and opportunities, offering solutions to improve the donation process continuously.
About You
You’re a people person with a knack for building relationships and a passion for creating positive change. You’re organised, proactive, and thrive in a role that’s as diverse as it is rewarding.
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualification in business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
* At least 2 years of experience in donor relations or a similar role.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database/CRM systems.
* A lively, approachable personality with a genuine passion for helping others.
* Full, clean driving license.
