The firm are seeking a technically able and commercially aware case handler to join their Civil Litigation Division. The successful candidate will predominantly deal with litigated claims with a wide range of commercial and residential landlord & tenant and leaseholder & freeholder disputes.

The role includes assisting the Partner in charge of the Landlord and Tenant team and for the right candidate, may involve supervisory responsibilities. The work is challenging but rewarding and the team places a high value on mutual support and co-operation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Alongside providing support to the case handlers in the department, you will be running a caseload of complex leaseholder/freeholder disputes, as well as commercial landlord & tenant dispute cases.
The ability to meet strict deadlines and to comply with service standards will be essential.

Skills/Competencies and Experience required: 

*Proven experience in dealing with landlord and tenant disputes
*Supervisory experience
*Ability to deal flexibly with a wide range of work types, work sources and clients
*Confidence to take responsibility for cases, relationships and strategy
*Team Player
*Excellent communication skills
*Capable of working with a case management system
Education required:

Candidates will need to demonstrate significant experience in dealing with landlord and tenant disputes. Qualification as a solicitor, FCILEx or Barrister would be beneficial but not essential.
