Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven professional, experienced in Impact Evaluation, to work with our mission focussed client, dedicated to promoting sustainable corporate governance. As the Impact and Evaluation Manager, you will lead the design and implementation of a review framework, to evaluate the current impact of the programme on existing members and assessing alignment with its mission.
To be considered for the role of Impact and Evaluation Manager, the successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of data evaluation methodologies (scoring systems, performance metrics and KPI design), experience working with diverse stakeholders, and an interest in climate action and sustainable governance.
This position will be a fixed term contract, to begin in February 2025 until September 2026. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours a week, with a blend of office and home working, as agreed in advance.
Key Duties
*Initial framework design: developing a scalable and adaptable evaluation framework to assess performance by drafting review questions, approaching and gaining feedback from key stakeholders and experts
*Data collection and analysis: developing an understanding of relevant datasets and conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection efforts, including research, surveys, interviews, and feedback sessions, ensuring comprehensive and actionable insights. This will include benchmarking and comparative analyses across network to identify strengths, gaps, and best practices
*Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Integration: incorporating DEI benchmarks into evaluation criteria to support inclusive engagement practices
*Performance metrics development: designing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to track progress, effectiveness of governance, and member engagement
*Stakeholder engagement: collaborating with engagement team, Chapter Leads, and other stakeholders, to gather feedback and refine the evaluation framework based on diverse needs and contexts
*Reviewing process development: creating an adaptable review tool, guidelines, and a scoring system that reflect the core values, and contribution to climate goals
*Pilot testing and feedback collection: testing the framework and digital tool format in diverse Chapters and refining it based on collected feedback
*Digital platform management and development: leveraging digital tools for efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring transparency and easy access.
*Implementation and continuous improvement: implementing the framework globally in a phased approach while developing a digital platform for reporting and analysis. Facilitating learning and peer-to-peer exchanges across Chapters. Establishing a feedback loop within the evaluation framework, allowing for regular updates and adaptations to meet evolving needs.
*Content evaluation: liaising with the Knowledge Exchange team to facilitate alignment of content outputs with the priorities of board directors based on key impact and evaluation findings
*Reporting and recommendations: providing regular reports to senior leadership with insights, strategic recommendations, and opportunities for improvement across the network
*Monitoring and recording lessons learnt in relation to the project outcomes, ensuring alignment with the funder’s impact goals
Skills and Experience
Essential
*Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent e.g. Impact Evaluation, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, International Relations or a similar related field. Master’s degree preferred
*Expertise in evaluation framework development, scoring systems, performance metrics and KPI design
*Experience creating structured processes, setting measurable goals, and defining timelines to guide the review framework development
*Expertise in gathering and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative feedback to identify trends
*Skill in establishing benchmarks and conducting comparative analysis across stakeholders to identify strengths, gaps, and best practices
*Skill in applying feedback loops and iterative design principles to make targeted improvements to the review process
*Strong writing skills to draft clear, concise review questions, and articulate the framework approach in a way that is easily understood by our international audience
*Awareness of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) benchmarking and bias in evaluation design.
*Digital literacy, including experience with designing and developing collaborative tools and digital platforms for data collection, reporting, and analysis
*Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact with diverse, international stakeholders
*Effective at working within and across teams to achieve organisational goals

Desirable
*Understanding or interest in the international climate change agenda and corporate climate action
*Experience working with nonprofit organisations, think tanks, data analysis companies or membership organisations
*Skill in customising evaluation methods and interpretation to fit various regional and cultural contexts, recognising that Chapters may operate under differing regulatory, cultural, and operational frameworks
