Job Description:
Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Liverpool Street Hybrid working
Pay: £14-15phr
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 3 months
- Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely payments and minimising financial risk for our client’s organisation. Join their dynamic team and contribute to their success by managing their credit control processes with precision and professionalism. You will have the opportunity to use your negotiation and problem-solving skills to maintain healthy relationships with customers and maximise cash flow.
Key responsibilities include:
*Contact customers via phone, email, or written communication to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
*Negotiate payment plans when necessary and handle disputes regarding unpaid invoices
*Assess credit applications and set credit limits for new and existing customers based on company policies
*Perform credit checks on prospective customers to minimise financial risk
*Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments, setting follow-up reminders and action plans
*Maintain accurate records of communication, payment agreements, and account status updates
*Prepare regular reports on ageing debt, overdue accounts, and payment trends for senior management
*Collaborate with internal departments, such as Sales and Finance, to optimise customer service and ensure compliance with credit terms
*Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve payment disputes effectively
*Provide professional support to customers by answering questions related to their accounts and payment status
Skills:
To excel in this role, you will need:
*Proven experience in a credit control or related financial role
*Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
*Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite
*Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines
