Job Description:
ROLE – Project Manager
SALARY - £45,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
Location- Surrey
My client designs and manufactures bespoke machinery and fabricated equipment. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Surrey on a permanent basis.
The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes: *Experienced Project Manager, ideally with a background in Design / Product Development
*Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
*PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualification would be beneficial but not required
*A background in Aerospace, Automotive or related industries would be beneficial
*Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication, welded parts and machining
*Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
*Knowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.
*Be able to read engineering drawings
*Strong leadership skills
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
*Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include: *Lead and Project Manage the Design, Prototyping, Development, Testing and Introduction of new products
*Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
*Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
*Working on full lifecycle design projects
*Designing and developing new products
*Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
*Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
*Working with design, purchasing and production departments
*Presenting project plans and reports to management
*Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
*Maintaining technical documentation as required
*Working in a small, multidisciplined team
