WelshSpeaking Teaching Assistant - Free Training available
Team Educate are recruiting for passionate Teaching Assistants who speak fluent Welsh or attended a Welsh-medium primary/secondary school. We work with a Welsh-medium primary school in the SA5 area who are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their school, supporting EYFS pupils through the medium of Welsh.
The school are eager to welcome proactive and friendly Teaching Assistants to the team on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on what you’re looking for. You do not need direct classroom experience, however working with children in a previous role would be highly beneficial.
Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants should have:
*Experience working with children
*Exceptional communication skills (Welsh and English)
*Empathetic and nurturing characteristics
The Welsh-speaking teaching assistant role includes:
*Supporting the class teacher with work set out for the day
*Ensuring the classroom is tidy and ready for learning
*Delivering activities to small groups of children
*Offering support on a 1:1 basis to pupils with additional needs
*Using your own initiative and taking a pro-active approach
*Developing literacy and numeracy skills through the medium of Welsh
Requirements for a Welsh-speaking teaching assistant:
*Enhanced DBS Check - we can help process one for you
*Registered with the EWC - we can help get you registered
*2 years’ worth of professional references
*Over 18 years old
*Fluency in the Welsh language
