Job Description:
Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Foundations T&I Engineer to join their East Anglia 1 North project.

Role: Foundations T&I Engineer
Business: Scottish Power Renewables - EA1N
Duration: 12 month initial contract
Location Tudor Street London or St Vincent Street Glasgow/hybrid style working
Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

Applicants must have offshore monopile foundations experience.

Main Purpose of Job
The Installation Engineer is a dedicated T&I package role that shall be assigned to our Installation Management team to develop, oversee and manage T&I (transportation and installation) works with the appointed contractor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
*Assists with the development and implementation of T&I strategies, installation programmes and cost estimates for projects.
*Assists with the development of the Package Engineering Plans and completion of engineering tasks.
*Technical support of the procurement process for T&I contracts and consultancy services.
*Management of T&I Contractor’s engineering deliverables and offshore works.

In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities the Installation Engineer may be delegated additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, development of departmental procedures and reporting

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES
Project Management
*Assist the Package/Installation Manager in the development and implementation of a package engineering plan and management of any internal and external services or resources that are required to deliver the tasks identified within the engineering plan.
*Coordination of information sharing and document review process between the package management team, the Contractor, any Related Works Contractors, the Marine Warranty Surveyor, the Independent Verification Society, and the Site Management teams.
*Responsible to complete or organize, as applicable, the administrative tasks needed by the company and project(s) of assignment, related to the planning and execution of installation works.

Engineering
*Completion of engineering tasks required for the T&I package.
*Review of Contractors installation engineering deliverables.
*Coordination of package specific interface tasks required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the project’s Interface Management Plan.
*Coordination of engineering tasks required for the CVA approval process for Transportation and Installation.

Procurement
*Preparation of the technical documentation that is required for inclusion within ITT and Contract documentation package(s)
*Technical assessment of bids including Assessment of T&I solution including consents compliance check Analysis of bidder’s programme of work Weather analysis Vessel assurance check Technical risk assessment.

Consents
*Provision of technical assistance to the consenting team to assist them in discharging the project’s consent conditions.

Contract management
*Responsible for the management of FT&I Contractor, this shall include:
*Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management of Contractors activities
*Management of the delivery of the Contractors works in accordance with the programme.
*Contract management duties including invoice approval and claim management
*Working with the contractor to take advantage of optimisation / cost reduction / safety improvement opportunities.

Key Criteria
*Significant and demonstrable expertise in managing offshore wind or subsea disciplines with a minimum of 5 years experience at a senior engineer level or equivalent.
*Experience in Monopile foundations
*Proven track record of safely managing the execution of complex offshore works in hazardous marine environments.
*Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
*Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written (full professional proficiency).
*Management of interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations.
*Ability to implement quality assurance and environmental processes.
*Highly developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams.
*Advanced user of Microsoft office applications.

Demonstrable experiences in:
*Engineering design.
*Production of specification and tender documents.
*Contracts (/subcontracts) negotiations (technical aspects).
*Construction planning.
*Budgetary estimations.

Working knowledge and understanding of:
*UK and European Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations.
*DNV and GOW standards for offshore wind.
*Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management.
*Commercial awareness

Certifications to be obtained if and when required by Project
*GWO
*Offshore Medical
*HUET

Travel to International Site Working Expected:
Yes - Possible travel to Contractors sites in mainland European locations
