Job Title: Accounts Technician
Location: Honiton, Devon

Key Responsibilities:
*Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
*Assisting with VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks.
*Managing a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
*Supporting the preparation of tax computations for clients.
*Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and resolving queries.
*Assisting senior accountants and managers with ad hoc projects as required.
*Using accountancy software, including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and other cloud-based tools.
Skills and Experience Required:
*Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
*AAT qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent experience (study support available for further qualifications).
*Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
*A proactive and professional approach to client service.
