Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Emergency Department
Location: Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
Pay Rate: £25 - £28 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Contract Duration: 25/11/2024 - 25/02/2025

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Band 7 Occupational Therapist with expertise in Emergency Department settings. This role focuses on rapid assessments, targeted interventions, and efficient discharge planning to ensure optimal patient care and transitions.
Key Responsibilities *Conduct swift and detailed assessments for Emergency Department patients.
*Implement effective therapy interventions to prevent admissions and expedite safe discharges.
*Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans.
*Educate patients and families on managing conditions after discharge.
*Handle a diverse and fast-paced caseload while maintaining high standards.
*Accurately document all care activities in line with professional standards.
*Engage in clinical governance and contribute to ongoing service improvements.
Key Requirements *HCPC Registration as an Occupational Therapist.
*Extensive experience in Emergency Department or acute care environments.
*Expertise in rapid assessment, clinical decision-making, and discharge planning.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
*Ability to thrive in high-pressure settings while managing a dynamic caseload.
