Assistant Accountant - Exeter - £28000+
A local business with an excellent reputation is looking for a Finance Assistant/Assistant Accountant to join their team on a maternity contract. Starting early 2025 this is an opportunity to gain experience across the breadth of an accounting position, from managing a busy purchase ledger to assisting in the monthly management accounts.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will have a short handover before taking over the following responsibilities:
*Purchase and sales ledger processing
*Bank reconciliations
*Inter-company accounts
*Payment runs
*Vat returns
*CIS returns
We are looking for a strong all rounder who is comfortable working in a transactional level role. Good Excel skills are a must and the ability to communicate well with the wider business is essential.
