About the job
Salary: £13.95 to £14.18 per hour (inclusive rate)
Working Pattern: Casual hours, shifts are based on a 4-week rolling rota various shift patterns with enhanced pay for weekend working & bank holidays
Enhancements:Weekend working - Time & a half, Bank Holidays - Double time & Night enhancement (8pm - 10pm shifts)
Contract Length: Casual
Location: Tozer House, Chichester

About Tozer House
The people we support are involved in a range of activities in their local community that keep everyone connected with the neighbourhood.
Activities include:
* Voluntary work with the Chichester Canal Trust
* Volunteering at the Cinnamon Trust
with dog-walking for people who need
help with their four-legged friends
* Taking part in educational talks at Chichester
College and the county’s schools
* Joining the Community Art Project
at Pallant House in Chichester
* Volunteering at Crimsham Farm in Pagham

Key Skills: (These will be used as the shortlisting criteria)
*You are able to interpret information, such as service complaints, and redirect them to the appropriate person to provide quick and accurate resolution.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*You will show the ability to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from the people we support, and respond sensitively to their families and carers.
*Confident in building relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
*Enjoy working as part of a team completing shared tasks as required.
Qualifications and/ experience:
*Basic literacy and numeracy skills, in order to record and document activities in the provider plans.
*Basic understanding of the needs of the people we support and their rights as an individual.
*Demonstrable successful experience of working as part of a team.
*Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedure, Manual Handling - Desirable
*NVQ 2/Diploma in Care or equivalent qualification - Desirable
*Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or are vulnerable - Desirable
*Previous experience of running group activities - Desirable
