As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will be part of a team that is accountable for making sure that Aldi products meet our high specifications by driving a culture of quality across our supply base.
You will have experience in hardline consumer goods quality assurance, liaising with suppliers and Buying teams to communicate on product issues, routine due diligence, customer complaints and continuous improvement. Important to the role is being a confident communicator with the ability to network at all levels within Aldi. Being a team player means you will naturally fit well with our Aldi culture.
You will need to demonstrate that you can pro-actively manage your area of responsibility and assist in developing and maintaining quality management systems. This is a key support role within the Quality Assurance team, and you will be required to operate at pace and with leadership. Your New Role:
*Provide relevant hardlines and softlines technical support to all relevant Buying teams.
*Quality assurance of product categories such as electricals, toys, cookware, bakeware, tableware, food contact items, etc.
*Clearly and concisely communicate technical information to relevant stakeholders.
*Directly manage the complaints and Fit for Use systems ensuring alignment with Aldi policies and processes.
*Manage all key administration related to hardlines and softlines QA, including but not limited to: invoicing, budgeting, meeting mins and agendas, contributing to policies and process development, and Buying Director updates.
*Cross functional working with commercial teams/other business functions
About You
*Previous experience in working in a Quality Assurance role
*Experience of Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspection criteria in relation to ISO 2859-1
*Experience of consumer goods compliance requirements for the UK and EU
*Knowledge of test methods used to ensure product compliance
*Practical knowledge of consumer goods manufacture
*Understanding of risk assessment methods for consumer goods
*Understand the labelling and marking requirements
*Able to work independently and part of a team
*Confident, professional, and articulate
*Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
*Computer Literate: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
*High level of attention to detail
*Calm under pressure
*Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

*Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
