Design Engineer - Medical Simulation Products | Bristol | Up to £50k
My client, a global leader in medical simulation technology, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Bristol. With a £30M turnover and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical training devices.
Location: Bristol City Centre (BS2), near Temple Meads Pattern: Office-based with 1 day WFH per week
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop new medical simulation products from prototype to production
*Create and manage CAD files and documentation using Solidworks
*Produce high-quality working prototypes and manage their testing
*Work collaboratively with project leads and engineering teams
*Create detailed product specifications and assembly instructions
*Liaise with external suppliers and in-house tooling teams
*Contribute to product evaluation and modification processes
*Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new product development
Requirements:
*Minimum 4 years’ product development experience
*Strong Solidworks CAD proficiency
*Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Design Engineering
*Proven track record in solving complex design challenges
*Creative approach to problem-solving
*Excellent communication and visualization skills
*Strong organizational abilities
*Experience working with manufacturing teams and suppliers
*Ability to work to deadlines and specifications
