Role: Company Accountant
Salary: Approx. £45k per annum (negotiable)
Location: Waltham Abbey
Contract Type: Permanent Hybrid (3 days from office and 2 days from home) – 9am to 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
*Ensure compliance with company policy and accounting standards
*Control and develop financial systems and improve the internal controls.
*Preparation of quarterly management accounts for review and reporting variances. As part of the management account process to ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly
*Post/review monthly journals
*Payment approvals for subcontract, purchase ledger and sundry payment requests Preparation of payroll reports for approval
*Preparation of Cost valuation reports for commercial team
*Complete drawdown documentation for Banks
*Responsible for overall cash management and cash flow analysis on a regular basis
*Assist in monthly profit forecasts
*Prepare Year-end Audit file
*Liaise with Auditors
*Assist departments as required
*Safeguarding the company’s assets at all

*Preferable hold and accounting qualification — AAT/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
