Job Description:
Are you a psychology graduate looking to put your degree into practice while developing valuable skills for your future career? Prospero Teaching is offering an incredible opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.
Would you like to use your psychology expertise to support children with additional needs, helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Working closely with students aged 11-18 years who may struggle in mainstream education. This is the ideal job if you want to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic SEN environment that aligns with your academic background. It allows you to build a strong foundation for a future career in psychology, education or even therapy.
As a complex needs teaching assistant, you will be joining a team that is highly dedicated, nurturing and skilled to deliver the best support for pupils. All pupils are encouraged and challenged to explore their full potential.

Minimum rate of pay Minimum rate GBP85.10 per day
Hours 9:00am 3:30pm
Experience, Training and Qualifications
A recent Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
A proactive, adaptable mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Any experience in SEN, education, or child development (advantageous but not essential).
A DBS on the Update Service (Or Willingness to apply for one)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
