Graduate Teaching Assistants (Secondary) - Hillingdon
*Job title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
*Salary: £90 - £100 per day
*Start date: January 2025
*Contract: Full time, 36 hours a week, 40 weeks per annum
*Location: Hillingdon - West London
*Interviews: To be arranged ASAP
*Transport: Overground & tube stations close by + Free local parking
We are a welcoming & supportive secondary school located in Hillingdon. Our Head Teacher is actively seeking to appoint several Graduate Teaching Assistants to join our team ASAP. All roles are full time for the full academic year, with scope to be extended, or offered a permanent contract.
We are a highly successful teacher training school and many of our current Class Teachers joined us as Graduate Teaching Assistants. We are keen to continue this cycle and encourage applications from bright Graduates who are considering becoming Secondary Teachers in the near future.
· A 2:1 or above at degree level
· Strong GCSE & A Level grades
· A passion for working with children and forging a successful career in teaching
· Sound SEN knowledge
· The willingness to be adaptable and flexible to the needs of the school
· Previous child-related experience - voluntary or paid
· Classroom presence & an engaging personality
· The motivation to get the best out of every child, regardless of their ability
· Provide whole class support - KS3 to KS5
· Take small group booster sessions
· You may occasionally be required to work 1:1 with students who have Special Educational Needs & English as an additional language
· Starting at £90 - £100 per day
· All school holidays off!
· Full time and long-term position (Sept 2024 - July 2025)
