Description
Responsibilities of a Accounts Receivable Clerk:
*Accurately processing and reconciling of incoming payments
*Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies
*Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
*Maintaining and updating customer files, including name or address changes and account numbers
*Working closely with the team to achieve finance objectives
*Communicating with clients regarding billing discrepancies
*Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
*Sending out monthly statements
*Assisting with month-end closing
Profile
A successful Accounts Receivable Clerk should have:
*A strong understanding of accounting principles
*Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong numerical skills
*Good organisational and time-management abilities
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
