Job Description:
Axon Moore are supporting a growing and profitable service sector client based near to Rotherham in the appointment of a Financial Controller.
This is an exciting £30m turnover business that has a clear growth plan and is in need of modernising and improving so it is befitting of a larger business as it continues to scale.
The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO and leaders of the business to lead the finance function and they will oversee the day to day operational finance and accounting tasks for the business.
Key duties will include:
*Lead the finance function which includes Management Accountants, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivables etc
*Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, and key deadlines and milestones are set and achieved
*Run the year end audit and year end processes
*Managing a wide range of external stakeholder relationships including auditors
*Own the provision of effective management reports to provide the board with key data and insight
*Ensure systems and processes are in place and befitting of a business embarking on growth
*Review and help to prepare the monthly management accounts
There is potential for this person to progress to become the Finance Director of the business in the future, so an ambitious person seeking an upwards move in their career would be of interest.
The ideal candidate for this role would possess the following skills and experience:
*Qualified finance professional with a broad accounting skill set and experience managing a team
*Maintain a hands on approach whilst being able to manage and delegate where appropriate
