?? Key Responsibilities: *Conduct detailed inspections and surveys of council-owned properties, identifying necessary repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
*Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and cost estimates for works required.
*Manage and oversee construction and maintenance projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
*Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and council policies.
*Provide expert advice on building-related issues to internal departments, contractors, and stakeholders.
*Monitor contractor performance and quality, ensuring work is carried out to agreed specifications and standards.

?? About You: *Qualified Professional: Degree in building surveying or a related field and relevant professional membership (e.g., RICS or CIOB).
*Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and relevant legislation, including health and safety and building regulations.
*Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and efficiency.
*Problem-Solver: Skilled in identifying issues, analyzing options, and implementing effective solutions.
*Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
*Experience working within a local authority or similar organization is desirable but not essential
