The Indigo Gender Service is leading the way with a pioneering, person-centred primary care partnership that empowers trans, non-binary, and gender variant people to thrive and achieve their full potential.
We are now looking for a Care Navigator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role
As a Care Navigator, you will take on a dual aspect role, providing key support to individuals requiring healthcare and supporting the Indigo Gender Service with administrative services.
Specifically, in this non-clinical role, you will support trans and non-binary people accessing the GM Trans Health Service. You will provide essential non-clinical advice, practical assistance and advocacy.
You will deliver administrative support, ensuring the needs and experiences of trans and non-binary people are at the heart of our service. Providing empathetic, trans-affirmative support, you will maintain a consistent and inclusive approach.
About You
To be considered as a Care Navigator, you will need:
- Experience of providing support to people from marginalised communities
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of the issues and experiences of trans and non-binary people, particularly related to healthcare and access
- The ability to deal calmly and confidently with emotional and challenging situations
- An understanding of confidentiality and equality and diversity principles
