Job Description:
Production Team Leader The Role:
Days Shift: a rotating 12-hour day shift position: 4 days on, 4 days off
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader at our Leythorne site.
We want to hear from experienced and dedicated individuals who can demonstrate leadership qualities within a production environment. A dynamic, hands on team player who can not only lead from the front, but also contribute individually.
As a key member of out Leythorne Production Team, you will be responsible for supervising and co-ordinating the production activities associated with our Fresh Food products. You will be a dedicated and experienced contributor, able to operate effectively in this fast-paced working environment. The Team Leader will support team members where required to ensure efficient and effective production at all times, whilst also maintaining and promoting our extremely high standards in both Quality and Health & Safety.
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will also have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to an ever-changing dynamic workplace. Assisting the Team Manager with the delivery of performance related KPI’s, Projects and developing a total quality culture that upholds the company values.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supporting Team Manager where required
*Ensuring production data is captured and recorded and reported accurately
*Leading by example and supporting team members where required
*Take an active role in the training and development of the team
*Ensuring all Health & Safety guidelines and safe working practices are adhered to
*Understand and control costs for area of responsibility (Labour, waste, performance, materials)
*Take an active role in project work
Requirements Required Skills & Experience:
*Previous Fresh Produce or FMCG factory work experience
*Previous supervisory/man management experience
*Experience working in a targeted, production environment
*Good communication skills
*Methodical and structured approach
*Good level of numeracy and literacy
*Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
*Food Hygiene Level 2 (Desirable)
*HACCP Level 2 (Desirable)
