Job Description:
We are a leading housing association, striving to provide quality, affordable homes in happy, successful places. We’re on the lookout for a Data Governance Manager to join our team and play a key role in implementing, communicating and shaping the future of data governance across SNG.
This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week in the office. Based from either Basingstoke or Wembley
The Role:
Our methodologies have already been established, as Data Governance Manager, you will lead and transform our data governance activities, driving a step change in data quality management. You will:
*Implement and communicate our data governance framework to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of customer, asset, and business data.
*Develop and implement policies and processes that ensure high-quality, reliable data for reporting and decision-making.
*Lead and mentor the Data Quality team (3 direct reports), fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
*Collaborate across teams to drive compliance with data governance standards, ensuring alignment with GDPR and other regulations.
*Champion data excellence by educating and influencing teams to prioritise data quality and governance.
*Work closely with senior leadership to provide updates on data governance progress and improvements, presenting insights in a clear and impactful way.
What We’re Looking For:
*A strategic and analytical thinker with proven experience in data management, governance, and quality principles.
*Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team to deliver results.
*Exceptional communication and influencing abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels.
*A solution-focused mindset with a drive to implement actionable improvements quickly.
*Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
*Experience with tools such as Purview, Power BI, and Azure Datalake desirable
