Job Description:
As a Junior Accountant, you will be an essential member of our dynamic Finance team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge and gain exposure to various aspects of our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Maintain books and records for group entities
*Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules
*Process journals and assist with management accounts preparation
*Handle invoice processing through Xero and Approval Max
*Manage cash planning for operational accounts
*Perform bank reconciliations
*Assist with VAT and Corporation tax returns
*Manage intercompany control and invoicing
*Contribute to process and control improvements
*Produce business reports
*Participate in various development projects
Requirements:
*1-2 years of accounting experience preferred
*Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
*Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous)
*Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
*Excellent communication skills
*Effective time management and prioritisation abilities
*Analytical mindset to identify and investigate variances
*Ability to work comfortably in a high-pressure environment
*Adaptability to handle additional queries and ad hoc projects
*Strong desire to learn and progress in the field of accounting
