SEN Teacher - Glastonbury
Somerset Education Alliance are an award winning supply teaching employment business and are looking for a SEN Teacher to take on an exciting teaching opportunitiy within a school, in the Glastonbury area.
Newly qualified? Supply teaching is a great way to get your foot in the door and to try different schools, big or small, independent or part of a trust.
Relocating? Supply teaching can be a great way to get to know the Glastonbury area before committing to a permanent position!
Work/life balance?We work around you! You do not have to commit every day or every week. Supply work is flexible and we will only offer you work when you say you are available

The Job Role
Somerset Education Alliance are looking for a SEN Teacher based in or around the Glastobury area who is driven and dedicated to educating and guiding the young minds of our future. You will be able to adapt to different environments, engage students with invigorating ideas and radiate positivity throughout the placement.
Please note: Our daily pay rate for teachers as a supply teacher recruitment business starts at £120 but can be negotiated up to £200 based on experience, pay scale and additional responsibilities, and is ultimately at the discretion of school budgets.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities
- Delivering cover lessons
- Preparing planning if required
- Following safeguarding and school policies
- Marking work as needed
- Liaising with school staff
SEN Teacher Essentials
- QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds also welcome)
- A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)
- A 3 year minimum reference history
- Up to date knowledge of the curriculum
- Reliability
- Excellent communication skills
