Job Description:
The Senior Management Accountant will be essential in preparing reports, accounts, P&Ls, and commenting on variances between budgets and forecasts to the Group Financial Controller. Working in this fast-growing retail brand, you will be a part of it’s growth journey and have plenty of opportunities for career progression and development.
Client Details
My client is a key figure in the FMCG retail/beauty/cosmetics industry with an established presence in the UK, Europe and US. Since its inception 10 years ago they have experienced a huge amount of growth, owed to their high-quality, cruelty-free products that have seen huge sales from their online social media presence. Now at a key point in their growth journey, they are looking for a seasoned Senior Management Accountant to join their team to drive long-term growth who is passionate about the FMCG retail sector with a strong track record in that industry. They are looking to bring someone on ASAP with very quick feedback and interview process.
Description
*Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries
*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with insights into any discrepancies in the budget and forecast
*Work in tandem with the Group Financial Controller and directly manage a Junior Management Accountant
*Identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency through their finance systems
*Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls
*Prepare the quarterly UK VAT return
*Collaborate with others in the finance team to aid in FP&A and other key stakeholders throughout the business
Profile
The successful Senior Management Accountant will have:
*An accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
*Proven experience as a Management Accountant within the FMCG/retail sector
*Proven experience managing direct reports and providing guidance where necessary
*Strong competency with accounting principles, procedures, and preparing financial statements, reports, and accounts for senior management
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, with an eye for identifying areas of improvement
*Excellent technical experience with Microsoft Excel and ideally NetSuite (or similar systems)
Job Offer
*A base salary ranging from £60,000 - £70,000 per annum with a discretionary bonus
*Comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance, and a 4% employer pension contribution scheme to name a few
