Payroll Assistant *Job Type: Temporary (4 months)
*Location: Hertford
*Start Date: New Year
Our client in Hertford is seeking a Payroll Assistant for a four-month temporary assignment. This role involves managing a weekly payroll for 2,000 employees and a monthly payroll for 500 employees. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with the Earnie Payroll system.
Day-to-day of the role: *Processing weekly payroll for 2,000 employees and monthly payroll for 500 employees.
*Ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations.
*Handling payroll queries and resolving issues efficiently.
*Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
*Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles.
*Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in payroll processing.
*Must have experience using the Earnie Payroll system.
*Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Ability to handle confidential information.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
