Physics Teacher *Contract: Full-time, Temporary
*Salary: £23 - £35 per hour including holiday pay
*Location: Derby
A college in Derby is seeking a Physics Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis until the February half-term. This role involves teaching T Level Science and Level 3 Applied Science, focusing primarily on the Physics modules. The position includes 24 hours of teaching and 13 hours of administrative time per week.
Day-to-day of the role: *Deliver engaging and informative lessons in T Level Science and Level 3 Applied Science, with a focus on Physics modules.
*Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
*Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
*Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and overall performance.
*Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
*Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a positive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
*A recognised Teaching Qualification.
*Degree in a Science-related field, preferably with a strong focus on Physics.
*Proven experience in teaching Physics at a similar level is highly desirable.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to engage and inspire students in the subject matter.
