Our client is an accountancy firm looking to recruit a permanent Trainee Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to start a career in accountancy with a highly successful firm who will invest in your career, enabling you to sit the AAT and ACCA exams.
Salary: £30,000 + fantastic benefits including 26 days holiday + bank holidays
Location: City location. Amazing offices, great culture!
Hybrid: 3 days working in the office
Hours: 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Trainee Accountant duties will include:
*Preparing client accounts.
*Bookkeeping duties including reconciling accounts, maintaining general ledgers and recording financial transactions.
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
*Liaising with the firm’s clients, assisting them with their accounting needs or queries and providing excellent customer service.
*Attending training sessions to build on and improve your accounting skills and knowledge.
*Preparing to sit AAT and or ACCA exams.
Trainee Accountant Profile:
*Candidates applying must demonstrate a genuine interest in wanting to pursue a career in accountancy (e.g. showing a strong academic background with a desire to work in finance from the degree or A levels the have studied or have work experience in an Accounts firm or within a Finance department).
*Be keen to learn and grow in their role.
*Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
*Good attention to detail.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A good team player.
*Confident with Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
