Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our not-for-profit organisation as a Business Support Officer. We are seeking a graduate or professional who is highly proactive and well-organised to support operational and administrative output.
You will provide efficient support to services dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities, as well as older people with a range of support needs. An excellent standard of verbal and written English is essential as well as an interest in working in the not-for-profit health and social care sector.
We are looking for an individual with gumption and a can-do attitude to join our expanding Hull team, providing administrative and operational support to our services across the two boroughs of Hull. The successful candidate will be based in Hull and will travel to support our services as needed. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Provide routine administrative support to our busy services
*Conduct themed audits within services
*Lead on our social value and development plan
*Assisting the management team with managing the Electronic rostering and ensuring staff are deployed to meet service users’ needs
*Supporting with our recruitment and retention strategy
*Planning and supporting interviews
*Working with the Recruitment Team to ensure roles are advertised
*Writing job packs and adverts to fill vacancies
*Undertaking rota checks to ensure all commissioned hours are delivered
*Monitoring agency expenditure against local and national KPI’s
*Working with our central Bank Team to agree agency bookings
*Helping to set up new services
An approachable and warm manner, along with excellent customer care skills is essential.  The role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to multi-task to complete competing deadlines. The skills to accurately input data onto databases, minute meetings and use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are necessary to succeed in this role. You will enjoy working as a team as well as using your initiative and working independently.
