Project Planning Engineer
An amazing opportunity to join the Data Centre industry, with an opportunity to work on the development and construction of a major London Data Centre
Location: - London (2-3 days in the office / 2-3 days from home)
Salary:- £70,000 - £75,000 basic + Package
Role Description:
The Resolute Group are working with a consultancy that is working on behalf of a Data Centre developer, acting as their Planning and Programme function they are looking for someone who is used to creating and delivering programmes over £50m in size. Ideally on P6 as this is the format you will be using.
You will be embedded with the client, working with their Head of Planning in delivering the development plans for the new Data Centre in centre London. Keeping the master programme updated as it moves through to project delivery phases, coordinating with the Design consultancy, Tier 1 contractor and specialist contractors.
Day-to-day duties will vary depending on the stages of the programme but could include any of the following:
*Develop and maintain a robust delivery schedule for work activities with clear milestones and monitoring activities.
*Work with the delivery team to coordinate work sequences with the total project plan (programme integrated schedule).
*Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications.
*Review and analyse the contractor’s schedules submitted for acceptance and provide the required recommendation to the project team.
*Ensuring the master programme is kept updated with any variations or approved changes.
This is a hybrid role working inline with the clients project controls team which currently works 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days from home. With a 3 years programme to deliver with in this team.
Qualifications: *Degree in an Engineering based subject ideally
*Project Planning experience - Ideally in P6 but must be from larger £50m projects. This could be from Civil Engineering or Construction as long as it’s a new build programme that interfaces with various contractors.
