GXO are currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of NetworkSupport Manager to cover our northern region. You’ll offer operational and management support to your nominated regions, enabling us to deliver a dedicated service to our customer.
This is a full-time, 6-month fixed term contract position. You will be working as part of a flexible team covering a 10-hour shift between the operating hours of 07:00 and 21:00 over 4 days, Friday to Monday. Working hours will rotate depending on the team dynamics, with start times typically at 07:00 / 10:00 and 13:00 each week. Working rota’s will be agreed in advance with reasonable notice to help you plan accordingly. You will also be able to work from home on the Saturday and Sunday.
Pay, benefits and more:
You’ll be paid a salary of up to £37,500 per annum, including a weekend shift premium. The role also offers a company car allowance of £425 per calendar month. You’ll receive 26.5 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. You’ll have access to private healthcare, a dental plan, a workplace pension, our GXO University which provides you the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications at a pace that you’re comfortable with. Plus, many other perks such as a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme and our continued focus on internal promotions, over 55% last year!
What you’ll do on a typical day:
*Work as part of the management team ensuring that existing work practises and standards of service are maintained over the course of the weekend operation, also ensuring a robust and clear handover process is delivered between weekday and weekend operational teams
*Be responsible for all aspects of people management associated with delivery crews in the specified regions, to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service
*Daily problem-solving responsibilities to cover VOR vehicles or colleague absence at all stores across the weekend to minimise the operational impact and recover as many of the scheduled deliveries as possible
*Working with stores, support teams and business partners to resolve all daily customer impacting issues and report any changes to the declared plan
What you need to succeed at GXO:
*You will have experience of working within a transport environment, ideally at a supervisory level
*You will also have experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment, along with planning and organising skills
*You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, to champion a can-do attitude
*You will be comfortable taking responsibility demonstrating commitment and leading by example
