Job Description:
We are pleased to be working with a small but successful housing association in West Yorkshire, who are looking for an experienced Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.This role is crucial, focusing on planned works, responsive repairs, voids, and asset management. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead exciting projects related to development, Awaab’s Law, and planned works, as well as the opportunity to line manage technicians and compliance colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
*Planned Works: Oversee and manage the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance and improvement projects, including kitchens and bathrooms.
*Responsive Repairs: Coordinate and ensure timely response to repair requests, maintaining high standards of service and tenant satisfaction.
*Voids Management: Inspect and assess void properties, ensuring they are refurbished and ready for new tenants promptly.
*Project Leadership: Lead and manage development projects, ensuring compliance with Awaab’s Law and other relevant legislation.
*Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
*Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, and prepare detailed reports on project progress and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Proven experience surveying within a social housing environment.
*Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and Awaab’s Law.
*Excellent project management and organizational skills.
*Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Proficiency in using relevant software and tools.
