We are seeking a talented Process Engineer/Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team.
Job Summary:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimising production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring product quality. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities for improvement, implement sustainable solutions, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process Optimisation: Analyse, design, and optimise production processes to maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
* Continuous Improvement Projects: Lead and support Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
* Data Analysis: Collect and interpret process performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve production issues, using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to implement process changes effectively.
* Standardisation: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
* Training: Provide training to staff on new processes, tools, and improvement methodologies.
* Sustainability: Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and other sustainability goals.
* Compliance: Ensure all process changes comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
* Relevant Engineering Qualifications
* Previous experience in process engineering or continuous improvement, preferably in the food production industry.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
* Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC) is advantageous.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to driving results.
