The Opportunity:
Redbridge Social Care is seeking dynamic, motivated Senior Practitioners to join various service areas, including:
*Domestic Abuse Service
*Community Social Work Team
*Child Protection and Assessment Team
*Parenting Assessment Team
*Reunification Team
*Looked After Children Team
*Emergency Duty Team (EDT)
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 with a sound understanding of other safeguarding legislation and guidance.
*Demonstrate excellent assessment and analysis skills, with a clear understanding of thresholds.
*Think SMART and creatively in care planning for children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.
*Handle complex cases that may require the initiation of PLO and Court Proceedings.
*Lead an area of social work practice, mentoring and supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers.
*Enhance Social Work Practice across the service, contributing to a high standard of professional practice.
*Deputise for the Practice Manager, quality assuring work completed by Social Workers.
*Represent the service confidently in professional forums.

About You:
*Qualifications: A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
*Significant experience working with children, young people, and their families.
*Exceptional writing skills and confidence in representing the service professionally.
*Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection plans, and Court Orders.
*Experience in completing assessments and developing SMART care plans.
