LHH is pleased to collaborate with a large independent firm in Exeter that is in search of a dedicated and experienced Audit Senior. The firm prides itself on being employee centric which is advantageous to anyone seeking more of a work life balance.


In this position, you will oversee an audit team on-site, mentor junior team members, and handle a varied client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing statutory audits for corporate clients, both in the office and at their locations.
Responsibilities:


*Plan, carry out, and finalise audit assignments while supporting the audit manager.
*Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax calculations, and returns for limited companies and groups.
*Identify opportunities for cross-selling services.
*Assist with other compliance tasks, including preparing VAT returns.
*Prepare accounts for partnerships and sole traders, including drafting income tax calculations.
*Communicate workload progress to management and plan for efficient task completion.
*Establish and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
*Train and oversee junior staff members.
*Prepare management accounts.
Requirements: *Competent in audit, accounting and tax software.
*ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
*Full clean drivers licence.
*Able to work effectively under pressure.
*Strong communication skills.
*Familiar with accounting software e.g. Sage and Xero
*Previous use of CCH and Caseware would be an advantage
*Excel skills - including vlookup, sumif and Pivot Tables
