Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Division: UK Construction
Location: Cambridge
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 organisation in Cambridge. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Commercial team on a variety of projects from Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Defence.
Your day to day will look like:
*Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
*Working alongside the project delivery team, to ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
*Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement
*Being involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome
To be considered for the role, they would like:
*HNC / HND in Surveying or equivalent
*Proven experience as the SQS / Commercial lead working with a Regional / National contractor
*A good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations
*A good knowledge of construction methods and materials
*Strong mathematical and IT ability
*Negotiating and networking skills
*Excellent communications skills
*Good team working skills
