Job Description:
We have teamed up with a long-established and successful family-owned business operating across multiple franchises in the automotive industry.
They are seeking a Group Financial Controller to oversee the financial management of two thriving dealerships. This is a rare opportunity to join a progressive and supportive team, making a real impact on the business’s financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide monthly financial and management reports, including forecasts, KPIs, and management accounts.
*Develop and maintain robust processes to ensure accurate and timely accounting records.
*Manage prepayments, accruals, creditor and debtor control accounts, and oversee stock reconciliations.
*Create and manage short-term profit and cash flow forecasts, annual budgets, and year-end reports.
*Ensure compliance with finance procedures for purchase orders and payroll processing.
*Manage manufacturer stocking plans effectively.
*Collaborate with the senior management team to track and report on spend vs. budget.
What We’re Looking For:
*Someone with a background working for businesses within the motor trading industry.
*Strong knowledge of dealer management systems (e.g., CDK, Kerridge, Keyloop).
*Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for handling large datasets.
*A methodical and diligent approach with excellent organizational skills.
*Ability to work independently or as part of a fast-paced team.
*Preferred: Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) are an advantage but not essential. QBE candidates are applicable as well.
