Description
Assistant Accountant:
*Collaborating with senior finance staff to prepare annual statutory accounts and streamline financial processes.
*Managing and supporting finance team members in daily operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash management.
*Assisting in the creation of budgets, forecasting, and developing key performance indicators.
*Producing management accounts and dashboards, monitoring income and expenditure, and preparing VAT returns.
*Ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements and maintaining robust financial records.
Profile
The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess at least some of - if not all - of the following:
*Working toward a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT or equivalent).
*Possess strong time management skills.
*Aptitude for financial IT systems.
*Excellent interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration within the team.
*Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management is essential.
