History teacher - Manchester - ASAP

A dedicated and passionate History Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Manchester, you will be required to join them on a full time basis as soon as possible for the rest of the academic year until July 2025.

This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced History teachers.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. In a department with well sequenced learning, with clear links to their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in History

Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in History

Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)

Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)

Up to date Prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)

Up to date behaviour management training (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.

Provide a minimum of two professional references.
