Job Description:
Office Administrator *Job Type: Ongoing Temp to start beginning of January
*Location: Chelmsford Essex
*Salary: £12 per hour
*Working hours: 9-5 or 8.30-4.30 – Monday to Friday in the office
Reed is supporting a company based in Chelmsford who are looking for a highly organised and efficient Office Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative and customer service tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Day to Day of the role: *Answering the phone, delivering messages, and dealing with client and surveyor enquiries.
*Ordering stationery and office supplies and managing office equipment.
*Booking appointments for clients, surveyors, and managing tender/contract schedules.
*Administering trade cards, postage, and ensuring timely return of tenders.
*Typing, scanning, and filing completed quotes and tenders, both electronically and in hard copy.
*Monitoring projects start and handover dates and maintaining a tender workbook to track progress.
*Organising appointments for tenders, printing job specifications, and collating construction phase plans.
*Providing general administration and project support to the Director, Contracts Manager, Site Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in an administrative role
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data input.
*Experience with filing and document management.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
