Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an independent Engineering Consultancy, on a contract basis.
The selected candidate must be able to commute to the London office on a hybrid basis.
Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Electrical inputs are correctly designed and installed.
Key Responsibilities:
*Ensure design work is in accordance with departmental procedures
*Produce detailed calculations using software tools, including, Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD and Revit
*Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems
*Complete site surveys and inspections
*Ensure the understanding of project briefs
*Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through the design process
*Maintain and develop positive client relations
*Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead
*Attend project and client meetings when required
Key Requirements:
*Critical Engineering experience
*Past Consultancy experience is desirable
*A degree in Electrical Engineering
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Prior experience working on Data Centres with a focus on MEP systems
*Strong communication skills
*Extensive experience using Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD, or Revit
*Working knowledge of the principles of building physics
*Previous experience leading projects is beneficial
*Ability to be client facing
