Science Teacher - January 2025
We are in search of a dynamic, positive, enthusiastic, and well-qualified educator to join our highly successful Science Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering creative and engaging teaching and learning experiences that ignite students’ passion for science and positively impact their lives. Operational Responsibilities:
Instruct students of all age groups.
Develop lesson plans in line with Curriculum Area Schemes of Work and National Curriculum Programmes of Study.
Consider each student’s prior level of achievement to create challenging lessons and establish future learning goals.
Identify and address underperforming students using performance data.
Contribute to the school’s overall strategy while developing and implementing curriculum area strategies.
Assign coursework to absent students.
Cultivate a focused learning environment following school policies.
Actively participate in extracurricular activities to enrich students’ experiences.
Manage classroom and school-wide student behaviour.
Adhere to school policies and meet school expectations.
Assessment, Recording, and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of students’ work.
Provide timely feedback and grading on assignments, including homework.
Adhere to the school’s marking policy.
Conduct assessments in accordance with the school or curriculum area’s guidelines.
Create student reports in line with school policies.
Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences as required and keep parents/guardians informed about their child’s performance and future goals.
Rate dependant on qualifications and experience
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
