Job Description:
I am looking for for a confident and proactive Assistant Buyer/Buyer to join an independent business in Crawley that supply equipment for prescriptions in the Healthcare Sector.
Client Details
A discreet medical appliance supplier that offers a free prescription service in partnership with the NHS. They specialise in delivering medical appliances to your door, along with complimentary items with every order.
Description
*Taking ownership of the purchasing process to get the best discounts while meeting customer demand and minimizing warehouse stock.
*Monitoring supplier discounts and availability to ensure efficient and effective purchasing.
*To liaise directly with clients (nurses), suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure products are secured and successfully delivered.
*To ensure all information is accurately recorded and all tasks actioned in a timely and professional manner.
*To effectively time manage to meet all deadlines, due dates, and delivery schedules.
*To have a full understanding of the internal and external customer’s needs and exact requirements
*Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk to or impact on business operations.
*Deliver purchasing briefs, updates, and reports as and when required.
*To support the development of ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement for sourcing
*Support development of team KPIs and strategies to aid purchasing performance
*Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Profile
* Strong IT skills with proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
* A positive attitude with the ability to deliver excellent customer experience and satisfaction.
* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with other teams throughout the business.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient planning and organisational skills with a methodical and logical approach
* Experience of ensuring quality standards are maintained
